A journalist in Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh named Ismed, experienced a presentation on Friday night, January 24, 2025.
That day, the journalist who had just finished covering in the center of Pidie Jaya, stopped at a kiosk and enjoyed a cup of coffee.
The Head of Cot Setui Village, Ulim District, Iskandar passed the small shop and saw Ismed there. Iskandar stopped and approached Ismed. He then grabbed the journalist's neck and hit Ismed's face. His punch only landed on his shoulder.
The village head was angry and asked why the journalist wrote news about the village maternity cottage in his village without asking Iskandar's permission first.
Ismed answered why he had to ask permission, if he wanted to write news. Iskandar became even angrier and hit the victim again.
When avoiding the punch, Ismed fell onto the asphalt. Iskandar then stepped on Ismed's left foot and elbow so that journalist's body was injured and bleeding.
Ismed then apologized and invited the village head to speak. However, the village head remained angry and cursed the journalist.
Previously, Ismed made news about the village health center or village maternity cottage in Cot Setui Village, whose yard was filled with bushes so that it looked dirty and filthy.
