Sorong News Journalist Experienced Attack at Airport

Journalist for Sorong News, Roly Kasamilale experienced violence at Rendani Manokwari Airport on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

The journalist was dragged by the management of the National Paralympic Committee of Indonesia (NPCI) West Papua at Rendani Manokwari Airport.

That day, thejournalist was assigned to accompany the NPCI West Papua contingent in the 2024 National Paralympic Week in Solo.

Journalist arrived at Rendani Manokwari Airport at around 8.51 WIB,. However, several NPCI West Papua administrators approached him, then asked him to leave. Roly Kasamilale said he was a journalist.

However, they ignored that Roly was a journalist on duty. Then they dragged the journalist to the Rendani Manokwari Airport Police. Finally journalist did not go to for the coverage in Solo.

Police officers were known to have participated in questioning and dragging journalist out of Rendani Airport, to the Rendani Airport Police.

Then journalist know that the West Papua NPCI management was at conflict. Several man that dragged the journalist were the old management who did not join the contingent.
