Reporters questioned by election officials while interviewing vice-president of of the Candlelight Party
Three reporters from VOA and CamboJA were questioned by the head of a polling station in Kandal Province, while they were interviewing the vice president of the Candlelight Party, Rong Chun.
Sovan Sreypech, a CamboJA reporter, said she and two other reporters from VOA went to cover news at the Talon Secondary School polling station in Sa Ang district, Kandal Province, where the vice president of the Candlelight Party, Rong Chun, went to vote.
She said that while interviewing, police asked the head of the polling station about the journalists present at the polling station. She said the head of the polling station then approached the journalists, and asked where the journalists were from. After questioning the journalists, the head of the polling station took pictures of her and the others for a report. Lib Lib, a reporter from VOA, said he also went to the polling station at Talon Secondary School. He said the reporters asked permission from the head of the polling station to take pictures and interview in the polling station.
