On 28 May 2023, diehard supporters of Pheu Thai Party, which placed second in the 14 May 2023 election -- after Move Forward Party -- gathered at the party headquarters and urge the Pheu Thai leadership to form the new government coalition without Move Forward, citing ideological differences between the two parties. The rally was broadcast live by The Reporters news agency. When the editor and journalist of The Reporters put a question to the protest organizer during the livestream, the protest leader quipped that the reporter was biased in favor of Move Forward, to the cheers of other protesters. The reporter immediately raised her objection and demanded an apology, prompting the protest leader to apologize. The reporter later posted that Pheu Thai leaders also apologized to her privately for the brief altercation.
