That day, around 09.30 AM, the victim and his wife had just arrived from his house. When they got out of the car, two people immediately approached the victim and attacked them using sharp weapons. At that time, the victim managed to avoid the initial attack. The perpetrator then attacked the victim again until he hit the victim's left arm and right hand.
The victim's wife, who was in the car, immediately screamed hysterically. The perpetrator then fled before other residents came to help the victim.
The kasamea.com journalists were threatened for reporting on the alleged corruption case involving the construction of the South Buton, Sulawesi (Busel) cargo airport.
