The Instagram account of online media in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java @BWI24jam was suspended on Sunday, January 26, 2025. They then filed an appeal.
On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the admin opened the account and received the following written information:
“Your account cannot be seen by people on Instagram, and you cannot use it. We will re-check your account. If we find that your account does not comply with our terms of use, your account will be permanently deactivated”.
Three days earlier, Instagram had informed that the post offering goods from the Instagram account @BWI24jam violated the trademark rights of a third party, and the party filed an objection to the post to Instagram.
Instagram asked the admin to review the posts, to ensure that no posts were violated. Because they have the right to deactivate accounts that are considered to have violated.
Previously, the Instagram account @BWI24jam uploaded advertising content from a service provider in Jember. However, there are third parties who question the content related to the music, podcast and video streaming service application that can be accessed through the application. They report the content related to intellectual property rights violations.
