20 September, The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) directed MalaysiaNow to amend or remove news reports on the recent chaos in the Dewan Rakyat (Parliament) or face "further enforcement actions." MCMC claimed that the articles "do not reflect the true context of the speech in question" and that the headlines were "disrespectful and insulting."
MalaysiaNow, however, stands by its reporting of the incident and has refused to comply with MCMC's demand.
