Journalists Prohibited from Covering the Acting Governor of North Sumatra.

Journalists from IDN Times in Medan, North Sumatra were prohibited from covering the handover ceremony from the Governor of North Sumatra to the Acting Governor of North Sumatra. A Municipal Police (Satpol PP) officer on guard at the North Sumatra Governor's office blocked Prayugo, a journalist from IDN Times, from entering the event room. The officer even harassed the journalist institution by questioning the legitimacy of IDN Times. The officer physically pushed Prayugo when he tried to enter the hall. This obstruction of coverage also affected around 10 other journalists at the location who were pushed away from the entrance of the hall. The journalists asked why they were being barred from entering, to which the officer replied that it was an entrance only for officials, although this reasoning seemed odd as the door was the only access to the event location.
