Journalist for medialkhairaat.id Halima experienced intimidation while at the Vatulemo field, Palu on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Halima came with her child and friend to the Vatulemo field, near the Kodim 1306 Palu City Headquarters.
Then a husband and wife who were also street vendors at the location, approached Halima. Both of them were the parents of one of the students at the Palu City State Middle School who was the perpetrator of bullying. The case had been written by the journalist.
The student's mother was angry with Halima, and agreed about the bullying news that made by jpurnalist. The mother accused Halima of being an unprofessional journalist.
Halima explained that if she objected to the news she had written, she could meet her editor-in-chief and write a right of reply.
The commotion caused many people to gather, and the mother's husband also verbally intimidated the journalist.
The journalist then contacted Satpol PP, and the Satpol PP member returned to Vatulemo Field with the journalist who pointed out the husband and wife traders who had carried out the intimidation.
Suddenly the TNI member named Ikram spoke in a high tone asking the journalist to explain the chronology of the news about the child that he had made.
The journalist then recorded a video using his cellphone camera. The TNI member then shouted 'Delete that. Delete that. Watch out if you don't delete it'.
The TNI member then asked a parking attendant to delete the video. There was a tug of war over the cellphone between the journalist and the parking attendant.
When the journalist managed to grab his cellphone, he contacted his editor-in-chief and he was asked to save the video as evidence.
