Journalist received death threats over story

Edwin Moreno, a reporter for Hataw D’yaryo ng Bayan, has reported receiving threats over his coverage of an ambush on a woman in Rodriguez, Rizal on January 18, 2022. According to Moreno, a social media user believed to be a relative of the victim, has been threatening to sue him unless he takes the posts down. He said he was told that the family wanted the posts taken down because they did not give Moreno permission to post about the incident, which he covered as part of his work for Hataw.
