A journalist in Mojokerto, named Arif, was reported died as a victim of a hit and run dump truck passing through the illegal C-excavation mining area, in Mojokerto district, East Java on Tuesday, August 15 2023.
Local media reported that, the victim and several of his colleagues were going to cover the illegal mining area C, which did not yet have a permit at Tuesday.
They each rode a motorbike and walked hand in hand to the excavation site C.
Local residents who were witnesses said the victim was found on Tuesday, lying on the road with a bleeding wound on the head. Residents said Arif was the victim of a hit-and-run truck driver carrying sand.
Information circulating among journalists states that Arif has only been working as a journalist for liputan9 for 3 days.
