Journalist in Serang Regency, Banten, was subjected to an assault on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
On that day, journalist was at the Serang Regency Pendopo covering a student demonstration, while during commemorate the 500th anniversary of Serang Regency.
The situation began to turn chaotic around 8:30 PM, between the protesters and the police near the Serang Regency Pendopo.
Amidst the chaos, journalist was standing near the Pendopo gate when he was approached by several police officers then he was and attacked and ganged up on by the police.
Before the assault took place, journalist had clearly stated that he was a journalist.
Despite having disclosed his identity as a journalist, the police continued to strike him. As a result, Aden sustained bruises on his face, as well as sprains to his hands and legs.
He was subsequently rushed to Drajat Prawiranegara Hospital (RSDP) to receive medical attention.
