Description
Manago was on his way to cover a protest rally at the U.S. Embassy in Manila when anti-riot police dispatched by the Manila Police District arrested him and some of the protesters for allegedly violating The Public Assembly Act of 1985, which prohibits mobilizations or public gatherings without a due permit from the local government. He was brought to the Manila Police District Station 5, and was eventually released after a few hours.
