Foreign Ministry accused Filipino journalists of video manipulation

Description

The Foreign Ministry of China accused journalists of being "troublemakers" and manipulating videos to "project the Philippines as a victim" in the ongoing maritime dispute in the West Philippine Sea.

On March 26, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying posted on X (formerly Twitter), a series of questions and answers about the China-Philippines dispute.

Answering the question “Who is the troublemaker?”, Hua accused the Philippines of bringing journalists with them during resupply missions, and “had them manipulate the videos they recorded to make sensational news and project the Philippines as a victim”.
