Election commission attacks news station director (2)

Description

On 11 May 2023, the Election Commission of Thailand released a statement accusing a news director at WorkpointTV station of spreading false information against the commission through a video he posted on TikTok. In the video, the news director said he received complaints that some ballots cast in the advance election day ended up in a wrong province, and they were somehow marked for a wrong political party. The commission rejected the allegation warned that his remarks may be prosecutable under the Computer Crime Acts, which bans dissemination of “false information” on the internet.
