Journalist for konsentris.id was attacked while covering the eviction of residents of Sabah Balau Village, Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung, on Wednesday February 12, 2025.
Previously, there was a debate between residents and the Lampung government.
Residents questioned the legality of the eviction, because the land being evicted was still in dispute, and there had been no court decision ordering the execution.
The eviction ended in chaos, with many residents holding out even though the excavator leveled their buildings. The authorities acted repressively by forcibly pulling the residents.
While the situation was chaotic, the journalist helped a resident who had fainted and asked the authorities to stop the repressive actions against the residents.
The journalist also argued with the authorities and the government who evicted residents without legality. Annoyed by the journalist's actions, the officers dragged journalist's body and the back of journalist's head was hit against the forehead of a civil service police unit.
