Covering Free Nutritious Food Program, Journalist's Coverage Video Deleted

Journalist for Selaparang TV Baiq Silawati, experienced intimidation while covering the Dapur Mitra Makanan Bergizi program in Rumbuk Timur village, Sakra sub-district, East Lombok regency on Tuesday, January 15 2025.

That day, the journalist was present to cover the launch of the Free Nutritious Meal program held at an Islamic boarding school in the village.

The journalist then recorded the condition of the kitchen which looked muddy and the kitchen staff were not using personal protective equipment during their activities.
Seeing the journalist recording the condition of the kitchen, a kitchen nutrition officer named Wawan asked the journalist to enter one of the rooms in the Islamic boarding school.

Wawan explained to the journalist, that coverage was not allowed because their employees were not ready, and they were not using personal protective equipment such as masks and head coverings.

The journalist's coverage video was then forcibly deleted by Wawan.
