The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police named Muhammad Irvan, a journalist for Timurterkini.com as a suspect on May 9, 2022.

The police named Irvan as a suspect on charges of violating Article 14 paragraphs (1) and (2) regarding broadcasting news or fake news based on Article Law no. 1 of 1946 concerning criminal law regulations, as well as article 45 paragraph (3) Jo. Article 27 paragraph (3) regarding the completeness and/or desecration of the ITE Law against Irvan.

The determination of the suspect is related to Irvan's news published on Timurterkini.com, regarding a businessman, that AT is being investigated by the Southeast Sulawesi Attorney General's Office on suspicion of tax shipments from a company in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. In fact, when the report was published, AT was in Bali. The report published in December 2021.
